Motorola says Lollipop for the original Moto X is being test driven, official rollout in a few weeks

Original-2013-Motorola-Moto-X-should-get-Android-5.1-Lollipop-in-a-few-weeksIt looks like Motorola is finally getting ready to update the first-generation Motorola Moto X to Android 5.1 Lollipop. David Schuster, Motorola’s Senior Director of Product Management, says that the Android 5.1 update for the Moto X (1st Gen.) is now in “TestDrive” in both the U.S. and Latin America. At this point, however, it’s still unclear which variants of the 2013 Moto X will get the update first. We’d expect the unlocked versions to be updated first, though, with carrier models to follow, as that’s the common trend.
