HTC One M9 review: Hands on

his new phone is still remarkable in many ways though. The build quality is really special, and the specs are pretty much on a par with the best out there, meaning you won't want for much when picking up this phone.

Compared to the phones of 2014 (perhaps the iPhone and its prequel aside) the HTC One M9 offers a much, much better build quality and adds in a new user interface in the evolved Sense 7. But given the award-winning nature of its previous phones, is it almost impossible for HTC to nab a hat trick of top-of-the-pile handsets?

Design

 As you can probably gather, the HTC One M9 is a phone that puts the rest of the market to shame with its build quality. The hero device is a silver and gold combination, reminiscent of the current high end watches, with more aluminium packed in there than ever before.

It's a heavier device, but it feels the business through a gentle bulge in the back and a brilliant balance - this is a phone that would look perfectly at home in a Mercedes showroom... although obviously not as a car. It doesn't have an engine or wheels, for a start.
