Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone gets Android Kitkat update

XOLO has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its Q1000 Opus smartphone in the country. The latest update which is about 294 MB in size is not OTA update and can be downloaded from the Xolol’s official site.

Once you download the file, rename it as update.zip. However, Xolo points out that one shouldn’t unzip the file. Click here for a detailed set of instructions on upgrading to KitKat.
The smartphone sports a 5 inch FWVGA IPS display with 480×854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM 23550 processor with Videocore IV GPU and coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
