Sony hasn’t been on form lately, especially in the flagship
department, but that hasn’t stopped it releasing new mid-range handsets
in the UK, the latest being the air-tight Xperia M4 Aqua.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has officially gone on sale in the UK, after it debuted at Mobile World Congress 2015 back in March.
The mid-range sibling to the Sony Xperia Z3 is available through a number of networks and high street retailers, including Carphone Warehouse.
It
features a a 5-inch, 720p HD display with Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon
615 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which is
expandable via microSD.
It also boasts a 13-megapixel primary
camera alongside a secondary, 5-megapixel snapper around front. A
2400mAh battery under the hood, combined with the phone’s Stamina Mode,
vouches to deliver two full day’s use on a single charge.
The
focal point is its waterproofing capabilities, though, which allows
users to take the phone for a dip in any water up to five feet (1.5
metres) and can withstand being under there for close to 30 minutes.
“Xperia
M4 Aqua represents our renewed mid-range focus - with no compromises”
Dennis van Schie, Senior Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing at
Sony Mobile Communications, said back in March at MWC.
“Offering
the most popular standout features made famous by our Xperia Z Series;
camera capability, two-day battery life and waterproofing - Xperia M4
Aqua brings a proposition and price, products in this section of the
market simply cannot match.”
You’ll be able snap it up from £15.50
per month and in a variety of colours, including black, white and the
Carphone Warehouse exclusive Coral.
