older device getting an Official Android update. Besides Google Nexus
Line up, almost every flagship receive just one or two Android updates
in two years time span and after that the focus shifts towards the new
version of the device. But Samsung has taken a step further in case of
Galaxy Note II.
It has been recently confirmed by Samsung Polland and Finland that Galaxy Note II will be soon receiving a latest Android Lollipop 5.0 update. Samsung Galaxy Note II was launched in the market with Android 4.1.1 and during course of two years time it received Android 4.1.2, 4.3 and 4.4.2 updates.
Samsung often faced the criticism that it is slow in rolling out the updates on its devices. But keeping view lots of phones, tablets and software with tremendous features, Samsung is in fact fast. In case of Lollipop updates, we have witnessed that Samsung is updating new devices every now and then. It has also endeavored to make these update available for most of its devices in a short span of time instead to keeping them restricted to one country or two.
So, if Samsung Galaxy is really going to update to Lollipop it will be a very impressive step from Samsung. This will increase the life time of the Galaxy Note II in the market by 2 to 3 years more.
