Sony has started rolling out the latest Android 4.4 KitKat
firmware update to its Xperia Z Ultra smartphone, starting with owners
in Hong Kong. the Xperia Z Ultra Android 4.4.2 update will also be
rolled out in other countries, but we don’t know yet when that will
happen.
As a refresher, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra sports a massive 6.4-inch Triluminos display with full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 342 ppi. A quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 330 GPU supporting graphics. 2GB of RAM is on board along with 16GB of native storage (11GB of which is available to users).
The update to Android 4.4.2 will bring improvements to boost the performance of the handset, offer faster multi-tasking, support for various cloud based storage providers and a full-screen mode for certain apps
